Alex Reichenbach ANZOS-OSSANZ-AOCO Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2017

Alex Reichenbach

Dr Alexander Reichenbach is a post doctoral fellow in the Lab of A/Prof Zane Andrews at Monash University. After his masters studies in biochemistry at the FU Berlin he joined the Andrews lab and completed his PhD, studying the role of Carnitine acetyltransferase in AgRP neurons in 2018. His primary research interests are understanding how metabolic sensing in AgRP neurons affects reward and motivation. To study this connection, he combines feeding and behavioural paradigms with calcium imaging in genetic mouse models.
