Andrea Schroeder
Andrea is a Registered Nurse who has a long association with Bariatrics having worked within the Bariatric surgery field for the past 17 years.
Initially within the bariatric surgery industry, then clinically as a bariatric nurse consultant, for the last 10 years she has been working passionately in both a clinical and managerial role.
With her long-term experience of supporting patients in a bariatric surgical practice, she became aware of the fundamental importance of a holistic approach to sustained weight loss. It was here that she developed a comprehensive 2 year pre and post op program as well as establishing a residential retreat program aimed at supporting and empowering participants through all aspects of their life transition after weight loss surgery.
With the help of her Bariatric team, she develops activities and events that provide long-term encouragement and support for all weight loss surgery recipients throughout New Zealand.
