Nicholas Williams
A/Prof Nicholas Williams, FRACS, is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgeon based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and Immediate Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society (ANZMOSS). Almost a decade ago, he realised that bariatric surgery belonged in public hospitals and went on to establish the Metabolic and Obesity Surgery (MOS) Clinic, now the most productive public Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery service in NSW. Alongside his private practice, Riverina Bariatrics, and his leadership within ANZMOSS, he is a prominent public advocate for improving access to evidence-based bariatric and metabolic surgery, particularly for patients in regional Australia. Nick enjoys playing chess, red wine, clay target shooting and flying his light plane.
